Start With the Easy Stuff
Low water level, a cracked pump lid O-ring, or a loose union can introduce air. Fix the obvious before assuming underground plumbing.
- Water level halfway up the skimmer opening
- Clean and lubricate the pump lid O-ring
- Tighten unions and check drain plugs for seepage
When It Is Not the Pad
If you have persistent bubbles and weak prime, especially when a specific suction line is used, you may be looking at a suction-side leak. Diagnose systematically line by line.
